On the Logic of Common Belief

We investigate an axiomatization of the notion of common bel ief (knowledge) that makes use of no rules of inference (apart from Modus Ponens and Necessitat ion) and highl ight the property of the set of accessibi l i ty relat ions that characterizes each axiom.
